Unfortunately, the evening turned bad when we got home. Dad's aunt Elaine passed away at 9pm from her battle with lung cancer. She lived next door to my parents and was extremely close to our family since she had no kids of her own. She was always like a grandma to us, and a second mom to my parents. It was hard on everyone.
