Happy Birthday Mom!

Saturday was Mom's birthday - I won't say how many (54) - and of course we had to celebrate all day. We started with a pancake breakfast, and all 4 little kids ate like champs - even little Brody had a bite.


Then Mom and I took off to do some shopping and lunch while the kids played. Lindsey has discovered she can take pictures with the camera, and does...often.


After Mom had a couple quiet hours in the afternoon, we had steaks on the grill for dinner with a little wine. And then there was cake...white chocolate truffle with strawberry filling, butter cream curls on the outside, and chocolate curls on top. It was GOOD. I took Mom to a local bakery (Trefzgers - German and in Peoria for over 100 years) and let her pick out her cake.
