Man it's hot outside

Ugh, the temperatures went back up to the 90s, and it was so nice this weekend. I had to turn the A/C back on today.

We went to the free summer movie today - Surf's Up. We rented it at one point, it's cute. Didn't really hold Leslie's attention, but worth the 90 minutes.

After the movie we played at the mall playground outside, but the equipment was pretty hot, so we decided to give it up for McDonalds.

On our way home from lunch we were witness to an accident on Pioneer Parkway. I was sitting at a red light when a car came up in the lane beside me and didn't stop - slamming right into a city bus. Luckily no one was hurt, the driver was a 16 yr old girl with 13 and 8 yr old passengers. She was really shaken up, I felt bad for her.

After all that excitement, we headed for the pool. We spent 2 1/2 hours there today, which was great. The girls are getting big enough that if the pool isn't crowded, I can sit in a chair was watch...a lot more comfortable.

We picked up Maddie to spend the night again. I decided it was time for a walk after finding out someone found and opened a package of fingerpaints in the basement. Let's just say the carpet and a few toys (and a small child) were covered. After the calming walk, it was baths and bed. I'll clean the carpet in the morning.
