We went to the beach Wednesday afternoon, and it was low tide. We were so happy to find a tidal pool where we parked, so Leslie played in the water for hours. She called it her pool. Lindsey and David jumped waves for quite a while, and Lindsey was happy to play with Leslie too. They also made sand castles and mom and dad got to hang out on the beach blanket and relax a while. We stayed for over two hours, then came home for quick showers.
We decided to try a newly opened restaurant down the street that had free kids meals on Wednesday night, and buy-one-get-one beer specials for moms and dads. Diane, Lance and Julian made it in time for dinner, so we had a great time.
After dinner we came home and the kids ran wild through the house. We learned the things that Grandma had not put up high enough. We also learned that strawberries have to be eaten at the table, not on the living room chairs. It was a struggle to get the kids to bed since they were still excited.
